This is a good article because it is exposing the poor quality of the South African journalism. Post apartheid South Africa does not prohibit the govern to employ quality teachers for schools. It is mockery that the state want to move children to historically white schools instead of forcing teachers in historically black schools to do their work. It is also not the fault of black teachers that their school environments are dangerous for their lives. There is too much lawlessness in those areas. On the language, I suspect that the journalist is referring to Afrikaans medium schools changing to English medium. I am pretty sure that BELA is not meant to change from Afrikaans and English medium schools to any of the African languages. We are expected to believe that English must be the medium of instruction at public schools. This is the worse form of unconditionality. As if that is not enough, parents must woke up children as young as 4 years old to travel long distance to historically white schools. These children are forever fatigued because of these things. This explains their underperforming as compared to their white counterparts who look live near their schools and are taught in either Afrikaans or English as compared to the Africans who must be taught in English
